MEET DEBORAH LEANER
Mrs. Deborah Leaner is a minister in training, at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Glenarden, MD, under Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Deborah Leaner Ministries (DLM), a women's ministry that works along side of the local church to help equip, restore and transform women through the word of God. Ms. Leaner founded Divine Discipleship for Sisters in 2003, which is a discipleship ministry for women who desire to develop a more intimate relationship with Christ. She is the founder of "Beauty for Ashes" a Christian magazine written by and for women. In 2004 she co-authored a four book series called "New In Him." She is also a sought after speaker through the DLM seminar series that presents and develops workshops for women.

The DLM headquarters is located in Prince George's County and provides community outreach and mentoring services to at-risk youth; and provides continuing life skills and family support to women. Mrs. Leaner along with her husband, Tony, a Deacon in Training, also founded The Korey "Alex" Leaner (KAL) Foundation that was established in October 2005. The mission of The KAL Foundation is to identify and develop personal strengths in at-risk youth in order to build self-confidence, character, and to awaken untapped personal potential. The Foundation offers life changing lessons that equip and nurture youth for every stage of life.

Mrs. Leaner has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, with a minor in special education from Florida A&M University; a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from Atlanta University; and has completed post-graduate studies at the George Washington University toward a second master's degree. She has taken numerous Biblical courses through out the United States. She desires to work toward a Ph.D. in Spiritual Counseling.

Mrs. Leaner is a wife and after the loss of her son, still considers herself mother of many spiritual children that she is able to reach through her son's legacy at the KAL foundation. She has had a successful business career, as an entrepreneur. She is a powerful, life changing speaker, preacher, and teacher. Her true passion is nurturing women into their destiny and purpose in God.

As a Minister, founder and CEO of DLM and the KAL foundation, Mrs. Leaner is confident that she is walking in the destiny that God has set before her. The table God prepared through her to serve daily has transformed the lives of many women, children and families.
